WARSAW: 22-23 Oct 2011
It is good to remember that Poland is geographically at the heart of Europe. In Warsaw, we attended a church service on the Sunday morning and had the privilege of praying for the people, both young and old as well as a certain number of homeless people. After a morning of worship and teaching concerning the history of Poland, we divided into different groups, together with local intercessors, to go and pray, repent and proclaim God’s truth at strategic places in the city. These included the Palace of Science and Culture (a building erected by the Russians for the Polish people during Communist times), the Umschlagplatz (from where 300,000 Jews were deported to death camps during WW2), the Parliament building (which hosts a prayer group meeting each Sunday) and the Presidential Palace.
