We met 100 m from this buildingJan 25-27, 2011

In Brussels we had 20-25 Christians joining us. The city had been prepared with a lot of prayers. We were well-hosted only 100m from the EU-commission building. The worship and prayer was powerful with lots of words from the Lord coming through. So we were strengthened before going out. Small teams went out to pray around the EU-buildings. The following days we also had visits inside the EU-commission and the EU-parliament.

The president of the European parliament, Mr Buzek, speaking at the holocost memorial. The first day, four of the OCE-team could go to the remembrance day of the Holocaust thanks to the European Coalition for Israel who were among the organisers. The list of “big names” who shared was long : The president of the European Parliament Mr. Buzek, President of the World Jewish Congress, the president of the European Jewish Congress, the Rabbi from Jerusalem….. and more. It has become an important meeting with 80% Jews, and they see it as something important. Thank God for the Christians organising with the Jews on behalf of the European Parliament. It was quite obvious that the Jews are really important for God in connection to Europe and their governments. Both in Strasbourg and Brussels we had important meetings with the Jewish people and we had better keep that in our minds as we continue to pray in the rest of the European capitals.

The last day, we were led to pray for Belgium and the national identity. As we all know, Belgium is going through a crisis, being without a government for so long. We felt something was born in the Spirit in the morning. We all had the same impression and felt we needed to pray more about it in the evening. This seemed to be a preparation for when we come back to Brussels to pray for the national government June 4-5.

January 22, 2011:

In the afternoon one group went to pray around the city walls, another group went to pray in the city centre and a third group stayed in the area around the church.

LUXEMBOURG city walls

The team to the city walls

We prayed into the foundations of the city asking God to cleanse them, to shine his light into the darkness and to bring into the light things that are done in secret.

We placed verses of scripture into the walls and poured some oil at various points asking God’s presence to come into the city and be its real foundation.

One person received Isaiah 28:15-18a concerning the city’s covenant with death.

At the Court of Justice we had a strong sense of corruption and injustice in the city. From that point onwards we sprinkled salt as we walked.

It looks like freemasonryThen the next thought was : we will go to the source of the corruption ! We walked down to the river in direction of the old wall with holes/rooms in it. On the way we got the chapter Zechariah 5. One time it says : this is iniquities….. and then : this is wickedness. Then it talks about the 2 women, which we believe is 2 female spirits : political power and religious power, which is really iniquity and wickedness. We walked along the river. Then all of us saw a building to the right feeling that there was something unusual and significant about it. We believe it is a freemason lodge. The are a lot of symbols indicating that, even if the barman opposite the square said it was a theatre. So we prayed there. After that we continued but we felt our assignment was finished.

If you look up the official web-site under and read about the Melusina, (Melusina is a water spirit) you will see the same place taken on a photo from a different angle.

The team who went to the the cathedral and the Duke’s palace:

The cathedral is called « our lady, the comforter of the afflicted ones » (thus taking the name of the Holy Spirit). There were scenes showing processions dedicated to the virgin from the 17th century above the altar. The stained glassed window shows the life of Mary. The Queen of heaven reigns from there over the country. We had a time of repentance and prayed for revelations from God and for renewal for the priests, that they would be touched by the Holy Spirit. We prayed that people with a sincere heart would get a revelation of God. We also proclaimed Jeremiah 11 and Isaiah 47 and put these Bible verses in 5 different places in the church.

The buildings just around the cathedral are the seat of the government and its ministers. They are modest buildings. There are small statues of Mary on the facades. We prayed for the separation of the church and the state.

In front of the Duke’s palace we prayed for the Duke and his family. It was at the moment of the change of the guards, considered by some of us to announce the coming new times.

The national library has a small statue of Mary on the front. It is a place of knowledge, coming from Greek humanism. We read Proverbs 3:5-6. and took a time of repentance, proclaiming the knowledge of Jesus.

The team around the train station :

We walked around the train station and the surrounding streets. We prayed for things to come into the light. We understood that there are chains of darkness binding different people in fear and slavery including sexual. We proclaimed Ps.107 and also Ps.139. We then prayed that the Christians in Luxembourg would be courageous to take back the streets for God, believing, as written in Joshua, that God will give them every place that their feet tread upon. We prayed a lot for the light to shine into the darkness.

January 23:

The tunnel:

We were amazed to discover that this was the one day in the year when the tunnel under the city centre was open to the public. It felt that this was an answer to our prayer of the previous day that the foundations would be opened up so that the light of God could shine in. Two of us felt we were to take this opportunity to go and pray in the tunnel. Before leaving, God showed us to take with us 5 stones which we were to place in the tunnel. These represented the five stones that David took when he faced Goliath and the 5 battles the Israelites fought against the Philistines (1 Samuel 17:4, 2 Samuel 21:15-16, 18-20, 1 Chronicles 20:5). So we stopped in 5 places in the tunnel each time placing a stone and praying concerning one of the 5 issues raised by the scriptures ( shame/love, selfishness/generosity, lie/truth, arrogance/humility, setting wrong boundaries/ teamwork bringing freedom).

1 Corinthians 3:11 was also proclaimed stating that Jesus is the only true foundation.

We especially prayed where they spoke of Medusina and the story of Siegfried making a pact with the devil to get the city, which confirmed the verse of Isaiah which we had received the day before. We threw one stone into the source that is there.

On both days we felt the enormous love of God for the city and the nation. It felt as if He was weeping over the city as Jesus wept over Jerusalem and as if He was calling her to come back to Him.

The European banks:

One team guided by Tamar went to the EIB. We prayed general prayers about, blessings, light and truth.

Then there was a vision of crowds coming up from the bridge. Thousands of people crying from the street : justice, financial justice. The EIB was ready to receive that. The crowds continued to the other banks (in smaller numbers), and with their cry, some of the banks where touched and they were influenced to make more just decisions. But not all banks.

Then we prayed at the old EIB building for the administration, for Christians to meet together to pray inside.

Several had the feeling that some inside were corrupted and plotted evil with the pressure from the directors of other banks on the other side of the plateau. One person had had a dream before about a chess game. The king and queens and the big ones were using the ponds for their purposes, which was confirming that ; the private bank « buying » and manipulating some people in EIB. We prayed around that.

Then we went to the private banking area, and prayed some more there.

The European institutions:

One team went to the European institutions to pray. We started by the European commission which is a part of the general communication and is crucial in the spreading of information to the media and the politicians as well as the citizens of Europe. It’s in Luxembourg that the translation into the 25 languages happens. We prayed for the people who work there, for a spirit of truth among them. We prayed in front of the different administrative buildings of the Parliament and the European banks and Treasury. In the latter we really felt the corruption linked to Mammon. We made several declarations in front of this building.

January 14-20, 2011

Our first OCE trip took us to the cities where the main institutions of the European Union are situated and began in Strasbourg.

The team of local people had done a superb job of preparing for our week there, which began with five days of worship and teaching and was followed by two days of praying in and around the city.

The main teachings were given by three speakers, the first of whom was one of the leaders from ‘Poland for Jesus’, He told us the incredible story of what God has been doing in their nation over recent years, how He spoke to them in advance, telling them the things that were going to unfold and also how He led them and continues to lead them in their dealings with various political figures in their nation.

We also heard from Georgina Dufoix and from another speaker who works within the Parliament as an intercessor who both encouraged us in praying for those in authority, explaining how God had led them in this and also how important it is for us to stand guard for our leaders in prayer so that they will be protected and less vulnerable to wrong influences.

CHRISTIAN RUIZ and RENE GUTMANDuring these first five days we also had the privilege of meeting with the chief Rabbi and some others representatives of the Jewish community in Strasbourg. In preparing the week, the local people had felt God showing them that one of the sins that still hung over the city was what had happened to the Jews there during the course of history, notably the burning of 2000 Jews on 14th February 1349 when they were blamed for the Black Death and also during the 2nd World War when the only concentration camp in France was Struthof, just outside Strasbourg. We therefore took a time when representatives from 10 nations present, repented on behalf of their nation for the sins committed against the Jewish people. The Rabbi was presented with a document apologizing for these sins and we had also taken an offering to act as a symbolic act of restitution for all that had been stolen from the Jewish people throughout history. This offering totalled 4700 euros ! A lady from Switzerland was also moved to offer some gold jewellery as a symbol of the gold stolen from the Jews in Switzerland. This made for a very moving afternoon and was spiritually very important for the city.

10 nations represented with Chief Rabbi RENE GUTMAN and representatives of the Jewish communityThe following two days saw us praying on site concerning various things that had been received. On the first of these, we all went to Petite France where we sensed some of the roots of iniquity in the city were situated. We prayed and repented concerning particularly immorality, idolatry, broken covenants and bloodshed, all of which bring a curse on the land, and we sprinkled salt in the water, symbolic of cleansing. Teams then continued on , praying at other sites such as the cathedral and the European Institutions.

The following day, during a time of worship and prayer, one small team went to pray again at Petite France, and another small team went to Gutenberg square, which was also felt to be significant. In the afternoon, we all went up to the European Parliament, prayer walked around it , and then a declaration was read in front of the Parliament building, containing scripture verses and proclaiming God’s purposes for Europe.

It was an intense time during which we really saw God at work and we have been encouraged since returning home to hear that since our visit, not only has a new prayer group started up, praying for the area, but also in the days following our visit, three votes were taken in the European Parliament, on euthanasia, the persecution of Christians and homosexual marriage, all of which have resulted in an outcome which upholds the Christian viewpoint. God is good !!!

Dear Mr. RUIZ

The emotion is still too great to fully take in the significance of all that we were privileged to experience today!

I leave for Paris tomorrow and I already plan on testifying about this to the Protestant leaders of France to whom I will show your declaration; one that is simply unheard of in the history of Judeo-Christian relations.

Convinced of sincerity of the messages of repentance and the requests of forgiveness for the victims of these two thousand years of exile among the nations and in particular during the dark years of the Shoah, that each one of you were able to express with a rare intensity, I will intercede to the Most High so that this forgiveness is completely granted to each one of you, as well as to the churches and the people which you represent.

I wanted to take this occasion to write to you about this, and to thank you in the name of our community, and to thank the Protestant Christians, for the particularly generous donation which was received, and which will be devoted to a charitable work holding to the virtues of our two communities and which serves the members of our two confessions, which I hope to see even more united through this gracious gesture.

Additionally, Mrs. Herveux’s personal gesture went straight to my heart, and I ask that you would convey to her my heartfelt thanks.

With my sincerest gratitude,

Chief rabbi Rene Gutman

Chief rabbi of the Lower Rhine
